Renovation Carpenter

We are currently seeking a Renovation Carpenter, preferably with site supervision experience, to assist our team with new build, renovation and restoration projects from beginning to completion.

 

Responsibilities

  • perform general carpentry tasks, such as demolition & disposal, framing & sheathing, trim/finish carpentry, drywall boarding

  • supervise and coordinate site construction activities with Archive crew and sub-trades

  • work with the crew to ensure safe work procedures are understood and followed

  • implementation of Archive’s safety programs

  • work with the Archive team, engineers, designers & inspectors to help meet project requirements

  • completion of daily paperwork

  • understands and follows site productivities and schedules

  • serve as a company interface between clients and be responsible for communicating with project coordinators & subcontractors

  • monitor progress of jobs, quality of work and customer satisfaction

  • perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • post secondary diploma or degree in related discipline, trade experience or equivalent is preferred

  • working knowledge of construction equipment, drawings, specifications, building materials and required standards

  • ability to understand and interpret drawings, technical specifications for both commercial and residential projects

  • well organized, flexible, detail oriented and able to multi-task

  • able to prioritize workloads

  • strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers, sub-trades and employees

  • strong verbal and written communication skills

  • effectiveness in the areas of construction safety and productivity

  • Construction & Building Code knowledge

  • experience with Contractor Foreman an asset

  • valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.

    Expected Start Date: Immediately
    Job Type: Full-time, permanent
    Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
    Schedule: 8 hours shift
    Experience: 5 years minimum
    Work remotely: No
